We talked about what is a script and how it is used for making a comic book.  Students started writing a script for their own comic.  They will continue that next week. 

Due Dates: 

  • Balado: Week of May 10th (Podcast #2)  OR Show and Tell (in class): Week of May 17th.

Evaluation:

  • Balado: Week of  May 10th (Podcast #2)
  • Show and Tell (montre et raconte): If you're not doing the second podcast or you're simply interested to do it, the presentations will start on May 17th. (Instructions and rubric are in D2L)

Students started reading the first four chapters of Sept comme setteur and had to answer questions for each chapter (1 to 4).  They will continue next week with the last four chapters.

  • First Podcast (Balado): Whoever hasn't handed it in yet, you're late!  It was due on April 9th.
  • Chapter 1 to 4 of Sept comme setteur: Due for Friday, April 16th
  • Chapter 5 to 8 of Sept comme setteur: Due for Friday, April 23rd

Students had a review of all the grammar conventions we have seen so far.  Students should be able to apply those conventions in future written assignments.  Podcasts are still going on, students should hand in (share) their audio by the end of the week.

Due Dates: 

  • Oral comprehension: Van Lab episode 1 (Friday, April 9th) - Links in D2L (Week of April 5th)
  • First Podcast (Balado): This Friday (April 9th) 

Evaluation:

At this point, everyone should have their research done and their script done or mostly done as well.  Whoever is ready to start their podcast at school, will have a chance to do it next week and after March Break,

Semaine de la Francophonie (Francophonie Week)
  • Next week, there will be activities to highlight the French language and culture.  Something that students can do is visit this website Journal des Rendez-vous de la Francophonie to learn more about the Acadian French culture and do some activities.
